Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a senior project and operations leader to guide executive-level initiatives, align strategy, and monitor execution across teams and programs.

You will design and drive process improvements, lead cross-functional projects, manage risks, and mentor staff while partnering with finance, sales, and operations to optimize profitability and service. Requires seven years of leadership experience and strong QDM proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience plus seven (7) years’ experience in project and operational leadership.
• Demonstrated experience and skills utilizing QDM principles.
• Advanced analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels within the organization.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Demonstrated ability to create, prepare and present reports.
• Ability to effectively lead project teams, provide direction, guidance, plus mentorship, as needed.
• Ability to develop and maintain relationships throughout the organization.
• Experience and ability to use Microsoft Office Software, including but not limited to: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other applicable computer system/programs.
• Strong communication skills (written, verbal and visual).

Responsibilities

• Routinely lead and manage teams and/or projects/programs for Executives.
• Provide guidance and support of projects including strategy development and monitoring execution.
• Plan, organize and coordinate initiatives with application of process and project management.
• Lead strategic process improvement projects and collaborate on new technology solutions.
• Identify strategic improvement initiatives and utilize technology to improve efficiencies and profitability.
• Act as a liaison between departments, operations, and customers, internally and externally.
• Ensure minimal exposure to risk through review of contracts engaging from sales and procurement.
• Lead operational changes to ensure smooth implementation with minimal impact.
