Job summary

The Lodge at Torrey Pines in San Diego is seeking an Executive Steward to lead stewarding, sanitation, and back-of-house operations across kitchen and service areas. You will develop a skilled, service-focused team, maintain inspection readiness, and partner with Culinary and F&B leadership to ensure top-tier standards.

Qualified candidates have 4+ years in stewarding leadership, a strong ability to manage staffing and budgets, and a commitment to safety, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in stewarding leadership, preferably in high-volume hotel or resort settings.
• Flexible to weekend and holiday shifts; sanitation and safety knowledge required.
• Sanitation and safety standards adherence in kitchen and service areas.
• Ability to recruit, coach, and mentor staff for a high-performing culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead stewarding, sanitation, and back-of-house cleanliness across kitchens, restaurants, bars, and banquet facilities.
• Coordinate schedules, payroll, training, and staffing; monitor sanitation records.
• Collaborate with Culinary and F&B leadership to meet AAA Five Diamond standards.
• Manage supplies, inventory, and budget targets for department operations.
• Ensure safety procedures and emergency protocols are followed by all Stewarding staff.
• Recruit and develop team members; promote teamwork and engagement.
