Job summary

Invited is seeking an Executive Sous Chef to lead the culinary team under the Executive Chef, oversee daily kitchen operations, and ensure high-quality, cost-efficient food preparation for Brookhaven Country Club and its members.

This developmental role focuses on preparing the candidate for advancement to Executive Chef, with responsibilities in menu development, procurement, budgeting, and staff leadership.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Sous Chef.
• Health and sanitation card.
• Food service management certification, Serve Safe.
• Preferred: college degree in Culinary Arts or related field.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development and execution of menus and meal planning/production.
• Ensure kitchen sanitation and safety across equipment and work areas.
• Procure food supplies and manage inventory.
• Determine budgetary requirements for food, equipment and materials.
• Analyze production reports to control expenses and improve efficiency.
• Lead recruitment, selection and hiring of kitchen staff.
• Coordinate scheduling and adjust hours to meet operational needs.
• Uphold safety policies and address issues promptly.
• Represent the club in member interactions and feedback collection.
• Provide professional service to members and guests, aiming for satisfaction.
• Lead by example and foster teamwork.
• Direct and oversee the work of full-time staff.
