Job summary

Hai Hospitality in Bethesda is seeking an experienced Sous Chef or Executive Sous Chef for Uchiko Bethesda, our soon-to-open concept. You will lead a culinary team in a high-volume scratch kitchen and maintain top culinary standards.

This role requires passion for great food, mentoring staff, and delivering hospitality excellence. Relocation/training available across markets with lodging provided. Salary ranges from $65,000 to $85,000 annually, plus competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experienced in managing high-volume kitchen operations.
• Ability to mentor and develop a culinary team.
• Knowledge of food safety guidelines and best practices.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Motivate, mentor and develop a culinary team comprised of cooks and chefs.
• Manage overall culinary standards in a high-volume scratch kitchen.
• Assist and float through all kitchen stations.
• Cook great food in a modern kitchen.
• Ordering/scheduling/inventory and various other admin duties.
