Job summary

City Winery is seeking an Executive Sous Chef to serve as the second-in-command of our culinary team, supporting the Executive Chef in managing all kitchen operations across dining rooms, private events, and venue spaces.

You will lead day-to-day kitchen operations, drive menu development and R&D, and manage food and labor costs to achieve financial targets while upholding our food culture and hospitality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4–5 years of progressive culinary management in a high-volume, full-service kitchen.
• AOS Culinary School graduate or related leadership training.
• Strong knowledge of Health Department, OSHA regulations.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Serve Safe certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily kitchen operations as second-in-command to the Executive Chef.
• Direct menu development, R&D, and production across all service areas.
• Manage food and labor costs to meet budgets.
• Oversee training and development of BOH staff.
• Ensure sanitation and safety standards meet Health Dept guidelines.
• Collaborate with FOH, Events, Winery and Corporate teams to deliver guest experiences.
