Job summary

Mesa Country Club seeks an experienced Executive Sous Chef to lead daily kitchen operations alongside the Executive Chef, overseeing food quality, plating, and team performance on a busy hospitality program.

This hands-on leadership role manages banquet and event services, supports menu development, controls costs, enforces sanitation, and mentors culinary staff to deliver consistent, memorable dining experiences for members and guests.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional culinary experience in upscale hospitality.
• Minimum 2 years in supervisory or management roles.
• Culinary degree or professional certification preferred but not required.
• Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, sanitation, kitchen organization, and culinary operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily kitchen operations and maintain food quality.
• Lead and develop culinary team; train and schedule staff.
• Coordinate with Executive Chef; ensure efficient service during peak periods.
• Assist with menu development and banquet events.
• Monitor food cost, inventory, and waste reduction.
• Ensure health, safety, and sanitation standards.
