Job summary

Legends Global is seeking an Executive Chef in Mesa, AZ to lead all culinary operations for the Mesa Complex, including concessions, catering/banquets, VIP services, and special events. You will drive culinary vision, ensure food quality, safety, and profitability, and develop talent in a fast-paced venue.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; culinary degree/apprenticeship preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive culinary experience including senior leadership in a high‑volume venue.
• Experience managing food cost, labor, and budgets in an event-driven operation.
• ServSafe Manager certification required or ability to obtain within defined timeframe.
• Knowledge of HACCP and local health department standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead back‑of‑house culinary operations across the property for events and non‑event production.
• Oversee menu execution, production systems, yields, allergens, and cost cards.
• Own culinary cost performance and labor, waste, and controllables within budgets.
• Recruit, train, and develop a high‑performing culinary team and culture.
• Maintain food safety, sanitation, labeling, and HACCP compliance.
• Partner with maintenance and F&B leadership on equipment and IO standards.
• Collaborate with sales/event management to deliver seamless execution and guest experiences.
