Job Title: Executive Sous Chef

Overview: The Dinex Group, Chef Daniel Boulud’s internationally acclaimed restaurant group, is seeking an experienced and talented Executive Sous Chef. The Executive Sous Chef is second in command in the kitchen, supervising food production at all stations, mentoring sous chefs, assisting cooks, and supporting the Executive Chefs in cost control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise food production across all stations
  • Mentor and lead kitchen staff
  • Assist in cost control and waste management
  • Maintain high standards of food quality and safety
  • Support recruitment and discipline of staff

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • Extensive knowledge of French cuisine
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in high-volume or fine dining environments in a supervisory role
  • Superb knife skills
  • Familiarity with Michelin and Forbes standards
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to train and motivate team members
  • Ability to read and follow recipes and sanitation protocols
