Job summary

Bank of America is seeking a software engineer to develop and deliver complex requirements, ensuring software meets functional, non-functional and compliance needs, with maintainability and testability built in from the outset.

You will design and implement applications using Python, JavaScript, Java, HTML/CSS, REST APIs and related tools, collaborate with trading, finance and risk teams, and contribute to automated testing and regulatory reporting workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, MIS, Engineering, or related field with 4 years of IT experience.
• 4 years of experience designing, automating, and maintaining large-scale enterprise N-tier applications using Python, Java, SpringBoot and Node.
• Experience implementing frictionless multi-factor user authentication in digital channels.
• Experience with CI/CD, version control, and test-driven development tools (Python, Java, JavaScript).
• Architecture design using middleware technologies GRPC, REST, SOAPUI, XML, and JSON.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technical excellence in designing, developing, and maintaining technology applications using Python, JavaScript, Java, HTML, CSS, REST APIs, and related tools.
• Translate internal and external client requirements into detailed technical design specifications and build software solutions.
• Conduct thorough testing with comprehensive test plans and scripts to ensure quality and reliability.
• Ensure systems and applications align with business needs and functional requirements.
• Collaborate with trading, finance, and market risk units to meet business objectives.
• Automate and implement trade management processes and the lifecycle of credit derivatives, including regulatory reporting to regimes like GTR.
