Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Principal Executive Recruiter to identify and land top leaders across technical and non-technical executive roles. You will own Director- and Vice President-level searches end-to-end, partnering with Amazon's senior executives to shape teams that will define the next decade of the business.

You will join Amazon's Executive Recruiting organization, a tight-knit team that acts like an inside retained search firm with leadership principles at its core, influencing talent

Qualifications

• 10+ years of executive-level recruiting experience in corporate or search firms.
• 5+ years advising and influencing executive leadership.
• 5+ years advising and influencing leadership across senior functions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic advisor to VP/SVP hiring leaders—shape role definitions and leadership standards.
• Set search strategy and market POV for ambiguous, high-stakes mandates.
• Develop deep market intelligence on industries, competitors, and leadership talent.
• Build long-term relationships with senior leaders in the external market.
• Engage, assess, and win senior candidates, representing Amazon credibly at the executive level.
• Elevate the craft of executive search with new approaches and evaluation frameworks.
• Mentor recruiters and act as escalation point on complex searches and negotiations.
