Job summary

The Las Vegas-Clark County Library District is seeking a Library Operations Director to provide strategic, operational, and administrative leadership for all branch and contract libraries, staff, projects, and committees. The role reports to the Executive Director and drives long-range planning, budget administration, and personnel management within the Library Operations Department.

This is a full-time (40 hours/week), FLSA exempt position with relocation reimbursement up to $10,000 for moves

Qualifications

• Eight (8) years professional-level library or business/public administration experience with at least five (5) years in management.
• Ability to obtain a Nevada driver's license and complete PIC Training within six months.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the operation of all branch library services.
• Participates in district-wide planning and develops plans to meet public service goals.
• Reviews and approves annual budget recommendations from Regional/Branch Managers.
• Serves on the Library District’s Administrative Team.
• Leads change initiatives affecting administrative processes and technologies.

Education

Master’s Degree in Library Science

Master’s in Public Administration/MBA or related field
