Job summary

Las Vegas-Clark County Library District in Las Vegas, NV seeks a Circulation Department Head at East Las Vegas Library. The role provides leadership in customer service, supervises fines collection, acts as PIC, and guides daily operations.

This full-time exempt position offers a salary range of $66,132 to $88,623 annually with merit and COLA increases, and a comprehensive benefits package. Applications due Sept 30, 2026; interviews planned around Oct 13, 2026.

Qualifications

• Education: Required High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Business or Public Administration or related field.
• Experience: Required two years as Library Aide II or equivalent.
• Preferred: Two years in Aide II plus one year supervisory experience.
• License/Certification: PIC Training or completion within six months; AED/CPR within six months.

Responsibilities

• Supervises assigned staff with coaching, development, and conflict resolution.
• Staffs department within budgetary guidelines to meet service demand.
• Organizes services, programs, and staff to meet goals.
• Coordinates with Branch Manager and other departments to meet district goals.
• Develops and monitors reporting metrics to ensure quality outcomes.
• Maintains files, records, and reports; handles confidential information with discretion.
• Sets short-term operational goals for the department and ensures compliance with laws and policies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
