Qualifications

• Must hold a current, active medical license in the United States or a US territory.

Responsibilities

• Provides executive leadership and collaborates with the Area Director on strategic planning and policy implementation of Area health programs.
• Coordinates public health planning and activities across Service Units with Public Health Directors and Tribal partners.
• Leads planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of public health services to improve outcomes.
• Serves as a technical/clinical consultant to IHS programs and community groups on health issues affecting the Area population.
• Supervises Division staff and oversees field offices while providing diagnostic and clinical care as a staff physician.
