Job summary

Veterans Transition Center in California seeks a Chief Program Officer (CPO) to lead strategic direction, administration, and operational oversight of VTC's programs and services for Veterans.

The CPO will report to the CEO, ensure regulatory compliance and financial accountability, and collaborate with executive teams to enhance service delivery and outcomes across housing, healthcare coordination, and workforce development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Social Work, Public Administration, Human Services, Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
• Progressive leadership experience in nonprofit, healthcare administration, housing services, or veteran services.
• Experience with regulatory compliance, grant-funded programs, and quality assurance activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership and strategic direction for VTC programs and services.
• Oversee program operations, compliance, and financial accountability across housing, case management, healthcare coordination, and workforce development.
• Foster collaboration with CEO, Finance, HR, Development, and program leadership to ensure service delivery excellence.
