Job summary

MSIG USA is seeking a Deputy Chief Underwriting Officer, Portfolio Strategy & Management to align underwriting strategy with portfolio performance across all product lines. You will lead enterprise portfolio management, drive optimization, and coordinate strategic planning with actuarial and risk teams.

The role requires a deep track record in enterprise underwriting, strong leadership, and the ability to influence senior leaders while preserving P&L ownership with business units.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in Commercial P&C underwriting with enterprise or senior leadership responsibility.
• Broad underwriting and portfolio-management expertise across multiple products, channels, and business units.
• Experience leading enterprise portfolio management including performance oversight and corrective action.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise underwriting portfolio management across performance, mix, concentration, volatility, and issues.
• Drive portfolio optimization and capacity deployment aligning with risk appetite.
• Coordinate strategic underwriting planning and connect portfolio performance to business priorities.
