Job summary

GlaxoSmithKline seeks a Clinical Development Lead (CDL) – Oncology GU to define the clinical strategy and drive asset-level development across the lifecycle. You will serve as a senior clinical strategy partner within the MDT, shaping clinical positioning and decision velocity.

You will lead governance, interact with Health Authorities, and leverage AI-enabled insights to accelerate development while mentoring talent within Oncology Clinical Development.

Qualifications

• MD, PharmD, PhD or equivalent advanced degree required; MD strongly preferred.
• Strong disease area knowledge in GU malignancies, especially bladder cancer.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in oncology clinical development.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the clinical strategy, narrative, and decision framework across the asset lifecycle.
• Lead governance and investment discussions; translate evidence into strategic recommendations.
• Act as the default Clinical Development representative for Health Authority interactions and regulatory meetings.
• Drive integrated development strategies, data platforms, and AI-enabled insights to inform decisions.
• Mentor Clinical Development talent and contribute to succession planning.
