Job summary

GlaxoSmithKline is seeking a Clinical Development Lead (CDL) in Oncology GU. Based at a US site with hybrid work, you will define the clinical strategy and drive decision frameworks across asset lifecycle, partnering closely with MDT and senior leadership to shape portfolio direction.

You will oversee evidence generation, governance, and cross-functional collaboration, leveraging AI and data platforms to accelerate development while ensuring scientific rigor and regulatory readiness.

Qualifications

• MD, PharmD, PhD, or equivalent advanced degree required; MD strongly preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of pharmaceutical or relevant scientific/medical experience.
• Oncology clinical development expertise with GU malignancies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the asset's clinical strategy, scientific narrative, benefit-risk, and decision framework.
• Lead design, execution, and data generation for studies with Senior Scientists.
• Partner with MDT, MDL, and portfolio governance to inform investment decisions.
• Lead governance and investment presentations to senior management.
• Drive integrated development including regulatory and commercial considerations.
