Job summary

RLI Insurance Company is looking for an experienced Management Liability underwriter to own and grow a profitable portfolio through disciplined underwriting and strong broker relationships. The role requires independent evaluation of complex risks and timely decisions to support growth in the Wholesale Division.

The candidate should have 5+ years of commercial underwriting experience and a Bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of commercial underwriting experience, preferably in Management Liability.
• RPLU designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, quote, bind, and manage Management Liability submissions within underwriting authority.
• Build trusted relationships with Wholesale Brokers through responsive communication and thoughtful underwriting decisions.
• Exercise strong underwriting judgment by evaluating financial, operational, legal, and management exposures.
• Produce well-documented underwriting files, pricing rationale, and policy documentation.
• Prioritize new business, renewals, and internal deadlines while maintaining service standards.
• Collaborate with internal partners to support profitable growth and process improvement.
