Job summary

Cook Inlet Region, Inc. invites qualified candidates to apply for the Yah Leadership Program, a multi-year initiative to develop shareholders and descendants into senior and executive leaders.

The program places the chosen candidate with the CEO and mentors them through an individualized development plan. During year one, the participant will gain exposure to CIRI’s business lines and strategy, support the ELT, travel frequently, and engage in special projects while building strategic

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Master’s degree in business or related field preferred.
• Seven+ years’ experience in business, organizational leadership, finance, operations, legal or related field.
• Two years of supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of ANCSA and/or Alaska Native cultures preferred.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance.
• Ability to pass a background and driving record check.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a bridge for communication between the executive leadership team and internal CIRI departments.
• Manage special projects and collaborate with the ELT on priority initiatives.
• Attend and support ELT, Board and Shareholder meetings and events.
• Support education efforts related to ANCSA and CIRI’s history and model.
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships within CIRI and affiliates.
• Draft correspondence and reports; coordinate strategic communications.
• Travel frequently with the executive leadership team.
