Job summary

Manulife John Hancock seeks a General Manager of Value-Added Services to develop strategic direction and monetize non-timber revenue on client lands across NA. The role reports to the President of MFM and can be office-based or remote.

The role focuses on identifying opportunities aligned with stewardship and growth, leading a team across NA, and interfacing with PMCS, GRP and Operations to maximize value while managing risk and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in the environmental field or equivalent experience.
• Graduate degree in an environmental related discipline or business management is highly desirable.
• Minimum of ten years environmental project management experience.
• Proven leadership experience within a large, complex organization.
• Experience coordinating across functions and managing teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee fiduciary obligations and safety/environmental stewardship.
• Develop and maintain service-oriented relationships with MFM and MIMT personnel.
• Lead approx. 9 employees and provide project management direction.
• Develop and execute non-core revenue opportunities including carbon/wetland banks, energy, and other assets.
• Ensure compliance with policies, laws, and sustainability standards.
• Coordinate communications with stakeholders and regulators.
