Job summary

Manulife/John Hancock in the United States seeks a General Manager of Value-Added Services to develop strategic direction for non-timber revenue on client lands. You’ll oversee cross-functional projects in carbon, leases, right-of-ways and renewable energy, with a focus on growing revenue while managing environmental risk.

Reporting to the President of MFM, you will lead a team across NA, work remotely or from one of our offices, and partner with PMCS, GRP and accounting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental field or equivalent experience.
• Graduate degree in environmental discipline or business management desirable.
• Experience with agencies supervising non-core revenue projects.
• Minimum of 10 years in environmental project management.
• Minimum of 10 years of organizational management and leadership in a large organization.
• Strong relationship, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Analytical, financial, and technology skills.
• Asset management experience.
• Customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure client fiduciary obligations are maintained.
• Provide leadership of approximately 9 employees.
• Develop and execute a recreation strategy for properties.
• Oversee non-core revenue projects like carbon, wetlands, and energy.
• Coordinate with regional teams and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with laws and organizational policies.
