Job summary

Sound Transit seeks a Chief Quality & Audit Officer to shape strategic quality and internal audit across the agency. You will lead a high-performing team, align with the CEO and Board, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and agency standards.

The role requires extensive leadership, risk management, and public-sector governance experience, with a focus on transforming processes and promoting a culture of quality. Hybrid work in Seattle is available.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree as specified in Education.
  • Twelve years in capital project management and delivery, engineering, construction management, audit, or manufacturing, or an equivalent combination.
  • Ten years of leadership, budgetary, planning, and workforce management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee the implementation of a robust, integrated quality and audit framework.
  • Advance the vision of quality management and internal audit across the agency.
  • Direct and review the Quality and Internal Audit team’s work and annual work plans.
  • Lead recruitment, staffing and program governance for the Quality and Internal Audit team.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable agency, state, and federal requirements and regulations.
