Job summary

Brilliant Corners is seeking a Chief Program Officer (CPO) to lead California’s Housing Services portfolio, aligning strategy with operations and ensuring sustainable growth across Flex Pool, Intensive Case Management Services, and behavioral health partnerships.

Reporting to the COO, the CPO will guide senior leaders, drive program quality, evaluation, and client participation, and coordinate statewide systems while preserving regional flexibility.

Qualifications

• At least 12 years of progressively responsible experience in human services, housing, homelessness, healthcare, behavioral health, nonprofit leadership, public systems, or a related field.
• Executive leadership experience leading large, complex teams.
• Experience overseeing multi-program and multi-region portfolios with significant operational and financial responsibility.
• Experience designing, implementing, or overseeing Housing First, supportive housing, case management, or related programs preferred.
• Experience working with government agencies, healthcare systems, Managed Care Plans, philanthropy, or other institutional funders preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set strategic direction and ensure statewide execution across Flex Pool, case management, managed care, behavioral health, and other housing programs.
• Lead Deputy Chief Program Officers and other senior leaders, cultivating a high-performing leadership team.
• Provide executive oversight of statewide quality assurance, program evaluation, policy development, and client participation efforts.
• Guide design, development, and implementation of new programs and partnerships to align growth with mission and capacity.
• Represent Brilliant Corners in senior-level conversations with government agencies, funders, healthcare partners, and other stakeholders.
