Job summary

Brilliant Corners is seeking a Chief Program Officer to lead California’s Housing Services portfolio. This executive role drives strategy, cross-functional leadership, and external partnerships across multiple regions, ensuring program quality and financial sustainability.

You will oversee senior leaders, align regional operations, and advance Housing First principles while expanding impact and funding opportunities across the state.

Qualifications

• At least 12 years of progressively responsible experience in human services, supportive housing, homelessness, healthcare, behavioral health, nonprofit leadership, public systems, or related fields.
• Executive leadership experience with increasing levels of organizational responsibility.
• Experience overseeing complex, multi-program and/or multi-region portfolios with significant operational and financial responsibility.
• Experience designing or overseeing Housing First, supportive housing, case management, or related programs.
• Experience working with government agencies, healthcare systems, Managed Care Plans, philanthropy, or other institutional funders.

Responsibilities

• Set the strategic direction for Brilliant Corners’ Housing Services Department and ensure strong execution across its statewide portfolio.
• Lead, coach, and support the Department’s Deputy Chief Program Officers and other senior leaders.
• Provide executive oversight of statewide quality assurance, program evaluation, policy development, and client participation efforts.
• Guide the design, development, and implementation of new programs and partnerships to align with mission and sustainability.
• Oversee financial health, contracting, and management of braided funding streams across programs.
