Job summary

Lindamood is seeking a Vice President of Equipment & Fleet to lead the strategic direction of the company’s equipment and vehicle assets. You will oversee lifecycle planning, capital investments, and vendor relationships to support demolition, heavy civil, earthwork, and related field operations.

You will partner with Ownership, Operations, Maintenance, Safety, Finance, and Project Management to optimize fleet performance, allocate resources, and drive ROI across multiple projects and sites.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in heavy equipment, fleet management, or asset management within construction or related industry.
• 5+ years of leadership experience with responsibility for equipment or fleet strategy.
• Strong knowledge of heavy construction equipment (excavators, dozers, loaders, etc.).
• Experience with equipment acquisition, utilization, rental, replacement, and disposal.
• Strong understanding of lifecycle cost, total cost of ownership, and capital planning.
• Experience managing fleet budgets and making capital recommendations.
• Working knowledge of fleet management systems, GPS/telematics, and performance reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company’s long-term equipment and fleet strategy.
• Evaluate equipment needs and make purchase, rental, lease, replacement, or disposal recommendations.
• Monitor utilization, availability, condition, reliability, and performance.
• Allocate equipment across projects in collaboration with Operations and Project Management.
• Provide fleet data and reporting for executive leadership.
