Job summary

P.F. Chang's China Bistro, Inc. is hiring an Executive Chef or Kitchen Manager to lead the culinary team and manage restaurant kitchen operations. You will hire, train, and develop staff, oversee inventory, and control costs to maintain high kitchen standards.

The role reports to the Operating Partner or General Manager and requires overseeing food preparation, safety, and quality across kitchen stations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of culinary management experience.
• Experience managing prep lists and kitchen operations.
• Strong cost control and inventory skills.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for operational excellence in the kitchen.
• Delegates tasks and directs kitchen staff.
• Conducts interviews with kitchen management and staff candidates.
• Selection, orientation and continual development of Sous Chefs and staff.
• Prepares work schedules for kitchen staff.
• Maintains safety certification requirements for kitchen staff.
• Manages inventory and cost of goods; controls financials.
• Ensures health inspections are met.
• Oversees training on food prep, recipes and procedures.
• Ensures proper timing and production of orders.
• Performs performance appraisals for kitchen staff.
