We are seeking an experienced, highly polished Executive IT Support Specialist to provide hands‑on technology support for executives and business leaders at a new Austin location currently being established. The site is expected to support approximately 200 employees and serve as a key hub for executives and affiliated companies.
This individual will play an important role in helping stand up the technology environment while providing responsive, high‑touch support to executive users. The ideal candidate combines strong technical troubleshooting skills with exceptional customer service, professionalism, discretion, and a hands‑on, "get it done" mentality.
This is not strictly a traditional deskside support position. The successful candidate must be equally comfortable assisting an executive with an urgent technology issue and working hands‑on to connect equipment, troubleshoot a workstation, trace a network connection, or help prepare the site for incoming users.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide white‑glove / executive‑level IT support to executives, senior leaders, and other high‑priority users, delivering responsive and professional service from issue identification through resolution.
- Serve as a primary onsite technology resource for the new Austin location, supporting both the initial site buildout and ongoing operations.
- Install, configure, deploy, troubleshoot, and support Apple/Mac and Windows devices, with a heavier emphasis on the Apple ecosystem.
- Support mobile devices, including Apple iOS/iPadOS and Android devices, including connectivity, applications, email, and general configuration.
- Support Microsoft productivity and collaboration technologies, including Microsoft 365, Outlook, Office, Excel, and virtual/remote session environments.
- Assist with endpoint configuration, enrollment, management, and troubleshooting within Microsoft Intune or similar device‑management environments.
- Set up and support Dell laptops, monitors, docking stations, peripherals, and executive workstations.
- Perform hands‑on deskside setup, including connecting printers, monitors, docks, cables, peripherals, and other office technology.
- Troubleshoot Wi‑Fi, LAN, VPN, network connectivity, printing, peripheral, hardware, software, and authentication/access issues.
- Perform basic network and infrastructure support, including working with network closets, patching connections, tracing cables, and assisting infrastructure/network teams with onsite troubleshooting.
- Support conference rooms, virtual meetings, video conferencing, displays, and other collaboration technology as needed.
- Assist with executive technology needs associated with meetings, presentations, conference calls, and other time‑sensitive business activities.
- Coordinate with remote infrastructure, networking, security, application, and service desk teams when issues require escalation or specialized support.
- Participate in technology deployments, refreshes, moves/adds/changes, onboarding, and other activities associated with the growth of the Austin location.
- Proactively identify recurring issues and technology needs and work with appropriate teams to improve the executive and end‑user experience.
- Maintain accurate documentation of equipment, configurations, support procedures, and recurring issues as the new site matures.
- Demonstrate appropriate discretion when supporting executives and handling potentially sensitive or confidential information.
- Take ownership of issues and drive them through resolution rather than simply escalating or handing them off.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience providing executive, VIP, white‑glove, or high‑touch IT support in a corporate environment.
- Strong hands‑on experience supporting Apple/Mac and Windows endpoints.
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365, Office, Outlook, Excel, and related productivity applications.
- Experience with Microsoft Intune or comparable endpoint/mobile device management technology.
- Experience supporting Apple and Android mobile devices.
- Strong hardware and peripheral troubleshooting experience, including laptops, monitors, docking stations, printers, and related equipment.
- Working knowledge of Wi‑Fi, LAN connectivity, cabling, network connections, and basic network troubleshooting.
- Experience supporting remote or virtual desktop/session environments.
- Ability to independently troubleshoot issues while knowing when and how to engage specialized infrastructure or application teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact comfortably and professionally with executive‑level users.
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience supporting executives within a corporate headquarters, executive office, financial services, consulting, professional services, or similarly high‑touch environment.
- Experience supporting or helping launch a new office/site.
- Strong Apple ecosystem expertise in an enterprise environment.
- Experience supporting executive conference rooms and collaboration technologies such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or similar platforms.
- Exposure to network closets, structured cabling, switches, patch panels, and basic onsite network support.
- Experience working in an environment where onsite and remote technology teams collaborate to resolve issues.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is polished enough to work directly with senior executives but hands‑on enough to crawl under a desk when necessary. They are resourceful, calm under pressure, highly responsive, and comfortable operating in an environment that is still being built and refined.
This person should not be dependent on a narrowly defined support process or job boundary. They should see an issue, take ownership, determine what needs to happen, engage the appropriate resources when necessary, and follow through until the user is operational.
Because this is a new location, adaptability will be critical. Responsibilities and support processes are expected to evolve as the Austin site grows and becomes fully operational.
