Job summary

Cushing Terrell seeks a Senior Human Resource Manager to partner with senior practice leaders and regional executives in an in-office capacity across multiple locations. You will shape multi-year people strategies, lead organizational design, and drive succession planning for key leadership roles.

The role requires credibility to coach senior leaders, navigate complex employee relations, and guide enterprise-wide programs as the firm grows. Occasional travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Organizational Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or related field, or equivalent experience
• 15+ years of progressive HR experience, including 8+ years in HRBP/strategic partnering
• Experience supporting senior executives and practice/regional leaders
• Deep knowledge of multi-state employment law and risk navigation
• Experience leading complex, sensitive workplace investigations and employee relations
• Executive presence to counsel, challenge, and influence senior leaders
• Travel up to 15% annually

Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to senior practice leaders and regional executives
• Translate enterprise strategy into multi-year people strategies and workforce plans
• Partner on complex organizational design and senior leader transitions
• Lead succession planning and readiness for critical leadership roles
• Assist hiring, leveling, and onboarding for principal and regional leader roles
• Coach senior leaders on leadership effectiveness and team building
• Lead sensitive employee relations matters and workplace investigations with legal partnership
• Advise on complex performance management, counseling, transitions, and separations
• Support M&A people diligence and change management for large-scale organizational change
• Help build and lead a growing HR function through mentoring and coaching
