Job summary

Cushing Terrell is seeking a Senior Human Resource Manager to partner with senior leaders across multiple offices including Boise, Billings, Bozeman, Missoula, Denver, Seattle and Austin in an in-office, strategic HR role.

You will lead complex organizational design, succession planning, executive coaching, and sensitive employee relations, while building a growing HR function to support our architecture, engineering, and design practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field (or equivalent).
• 15+ years of HR experience with 8+ years in HRBP or strategic roles.
• Experience supporting senior executives and regional leaders.
• Deep knowledge of multi-state employment law and regulatory risk.
• Proven experience leading sensitive workplace investigations and employee relations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as strategic partner to senior leaders and regional executives.
• Translate enterprise strategy into multi-year people strategies and workforce plans.
• Lead organizational design, senior leader transitions, and firmwide change.
• Oversee succession planning, bench assessment, and readiness for leadership roles.
• Partner on hiring, leveling, and onboarding for principal and regional leader roles.
• Coach leaders on leadership effectiveness and team building.
• Lead high-stakes employee relations matters and investigations with legal partners.
• Advise on performance management, counseling, transitions, and separations.
• Support M&A people diligence and integration planning.
