Job summary

Halifax Community College is seeking an Executive Director of Human Resources/Title IX Coordinator to lead the HR department and oversee Title IX compliance. The role collaborates with college leadership to support a positive work environment, student and employee success, and effective HR services.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in Business, HRM or related field, plus 3+ years in HR management, with strong knowledge of payroll, benefits, and applicable laws.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree as required; 3+ years of management-level HR experience; strong knowledge of salary and benefits administration
• Extensive understanding of federal/state HR laws (FLSA, ADA, EEO, COBRA, FMLA)

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight of HR operations and Title IX coordination
• Lead talent acquisition and coordinate performance evaluations for faculty and staff
• Manage HR budget and ensure regulatory compliance
