Job summary

The Berkeley Richmond, a historic upscale hotel in downtown Richmond, seeks an Assistant General Manager / Executive Housekeeper to lead the housekeeping team and assist the General Manager in daily operations. This role combines executive leadership with hands‑on housekeeping oversight to maintain pristine guest rooms and public areas.

Ideal candidates have prior AGM or executive housekeeping experience, familiarity with Hilton standards, and strong budgeting and staffing skills to drive guest

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Executive Housekeeper, Housekeeping Manager, Assistant General Manager, or similar hotel leadership position.
• Strong understanding of housekeep­ing operations, room-cleaning standards, and guest service.
• Experience with scheduling, labor management, inventory control, and departmental budgeting preferred.
• Hilton experience is preferred; leadership in upscale properties is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee housekeeping operations across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and presentation.
• Lead staffing, scheduling, training, and performance management.
• Support the General Manager in day-to-day operations and guest relations.
• Coordinate with Front Office and Maintenance to ensure timely rooms readiness and guest satisfaction.
