Qualifications

• Possess excellent leadership, coaching, motivation and evaluating skills.
• Knowledge of the majority of equipment used in day-to-day operation.
• Familiarity with MS Office Suite, HotSOS and OPERA.
• 3-5 years management experience in housekeeping, laundry or operationally related at a hotel or resort.
• Must have valid drivers’ license.
• High School or equivalent.
• Ability to work days, nights, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Ensures rooms are cleaned, maintained and ready for check in per company policy.
• Manages housekeeping division employees including scheduling and developing employees to ensure Kingsmill service standards and staffing based on occupancy forecasts.
• Interviews, hires, trains, reviews, coaches and counsels department employees.
• Oversees laundry operations to ensure efficient process of linens with outsourced vendors and in-house deliveries.
• Oversees work assignments daily, monitors efficiency and quality standards.
• Ensures efficient check-in process and timely completion of all guest rooms.
• Addresses and resolves employee issues/concerns that arise.
• Directs Housekeeping Manager to ensure daily departmental duties are completed.
• Provides fiscal management including inventory, procurement, and labor management.
• Maintains lost and found and contacts rightful owners of property.
• Oversees guest dry cleaning program with external vendor.
• Maintains par stock of amenities, supplies, linens and uniforms.
• Interviews vendors and reviews RFPs.
• Negotiates contractual vendor arrangements.
