Job summary

Janus Hotels & Resorts seeks an experienced Executive Housekeeper for the Element Chandler Fashion Center in Chandler, AZ. You will lead housekeeping operations, ensuring Marriott brand standards, guest satisfaction, and team accountability across guest rooms, public spaces, and laundry.

The role emphasizes proactive leadership, cost control, and staff development, with a focus on cleanliness, presentation, and guest service excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-5 years of hotel housekeeping leadership experience required.
• Marriott housekeeping experience strongly preferred.
• Previous Executive Housekeeper or Assistant Executive Housekeeper experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of housekeeping operations, laundry operations, labor management, and inventory controls.
• Proven leadership ability with a track record of developing successful teams.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Manage the department's largest controllable expense, labor, through CPOR analysis and staffing adjustments.
• Oversee daily housekeeping and laundry to meet Marriott brand standards.
• Maintain high levels of cleanliness, organization, and efficiency across the property.
• Conduct regular inspections of guestrooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
• Coordinate room availability and priorities with Front Office.
• Ensure all housekeeping procedures and brand requirements are followed.
• Recruit, train, mentor, and develop associates and supervisors.
• Build a culture of accountability and guest service excellence.
• Lead scheduling and labor productivity based on occupancy and demand.
• Provide regular training and performance coaching for the team.
• Lead by example through active daily operation involvement.
• Champion guest-first cleanliness and quick service recovery.
• Address guest concerns promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure exceptional guest experiences.
• Manage inventories of linens, supplies, and chemicals.
• Control costs while maintaining quality and service standards.
• Monitor purchasing and inventory to minimize waste and shortages.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of housekeeping supplies and equipment.
• Ensure Marriott operating standards, audits, and QA programs are met.
