Job summary

Son's Island Getaways seeks an Executive Housekeeper Assistant (age 18+) for a seasonal, full-time role starting March 1st. You will supervise housekeeping staff, ensure cabin cleanliness, coordinate with maintenance, and report to the Executive Housekeeper.

This position requires basic computer skills, strong leadership and communication, and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Compensation ranges from $18 to $20 per hour, with multiple park locations including Son's River

Responsibilities

• Helps Executive Housekeeper to schedule staff, monitor payroll, and maintain compliance with a payroll budget
• Participates in the recruitment process and selection of talent for the housekeeping staff
• Helps Executive Housekeeper to ensure the completion and proper communication/escalation of maintenance work orders and other concerns to the appropriate department
• Helps Executive Housekeeper in the development and execution of training programs for new hires as well as ongoing training for staff members
• Creates and schedules daily assignments, daily and weekly projects, and optimizes staff to ensure cabin cleanliness and upkeep
• Conducts daily stand up meetings with housekeeping staff to prioritize the day and facilitates feedback from staff members
• Assists with maintaining an inventory of housekeeping supplies and equipment
• Helps Executive Housekeeper to maintain SDS and inventory for all chemicals
• Ensures the turnover of all glamping cabins on time; verifies stayovers, reports early checkouts and communicates issues and discrepancies with the front desk
• Maintains accurate cabin and cleanliness statuses
• Provides coaching, encouragement, and recognition to staff members when necessary
• Inspects cabins for cleanliness, damage, supply levels, maintenance issues, and temperature control; coaches and drives accountability and performance improvement
• Ensures storage rooms, trash rooms, and laundry areas are clean, organized, and inventoried adequately for the next day's activities
• Leads and mentors housekeeping staff daily to ensure guest enjoyment, cleanliness standards and operational efficiencies are met or exceeded
• Manages laundry operations including inventory and cleanliness processes
• Completes required reports on a timely basis
• Collaborates with park and home office departments
• Responds to guest inquiries using the company's service recovery guidelines
• Utilizes and learns the reservation system for daily planning
• Participates in other projects and activities as assigned
