Job summary

Hanwha Defense USA seeks a seasoned Vice President of Finance to lead enterprise budgeting, FP&A, and program finance across multi‑billion dollar shipbuilding programs in the U.S. Navy portfolio.

This executive will own financial strategy, long‑range planning, capital allocation, and performance management across complex contracts and regulated environments. The ideal candidate brings deep shipbuilding finance expertise, experience with FAR/DFARS, CAS, and audits, and a track record of

Qualifications

• Extensive FP&A leadership for shipbuilding/defense programs.
• Deep knowledge of FAR/DFARS, CAS, DCAA/DCMA audits.
• Experience with EVMS, EAC development and program margin.
• Proven ability to translate complex financials for executives.

Responsibilities

• Own enterprise budgeting cycle: AOP, long-range plan, forecasts, quarterly outlooks.
• Direct FP&A for shipbuilding programs: consolidations, variance analysis, reporting.
• Oversee program finance and EVMS integration to ensure contract integrity.
• Optimize costs: labor/overhead rates, make/buy decisions, capacity planning.
• Establish cash management strategies for WIP, milestones, and liquidity.
• Ensure FAR/DFARS, CAS, DCAA audit readiness and internal controls.
• Collaborate with Contracts on pricing, BOE, and negotiations (FFP/CPFF/ID/IQ).
• Lead CAPEX planning: ROI/NPV, capacity expansion, tooling, transformation.
• Build executive dashboards for margin, cash, risk, backlog burn, forecast accuracy.
• Provide senior‑level decision support and recovery plans for distressed programs.
• Interface with external stakeholders; prepare board materials.
