Job summary

Hanwha Defense USA is seeking a Chief Project Engineer, Naval Engineering to lead ship design and integration efforts for U.S. Navy programs. The role focuses on marine engineering, naval architecture, and cross-functional program execution, reporting to the Senior Director, Naval Engineering.

You will supervise engineering analyses, coordinate with customers and regulatory bodies, and drive budgets and schedules for major projects while maintaining security clearances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in maritime engineering required
• 10+ years of engineering experience in naval ship design, ship integration, or maritime defense programs
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with ability to engage with technical and program stakeholders
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance

Responsibilities

• Lead major projects across ship design, integration, and related internal efforts
• Coordinate resolution of integration issues among engineering disciplines
• Manage program cost/schedule analyses and reporting
• Present project status to customers, management, and regulatory bodies
• Interface with customers, program managers, and cross-functional teams to mitigate risk
