Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in business journalism editing or business insights editing.
• Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, communications, or similar.
• Exceptional editing skills with AP style mastery and ability to explain edits to authors.
• Excellent writing and oral communication; translate complex concepts for executives.
• Attention to detail with a big-picture perspective.
• Outsider-in approach to audience needs across content projects.
• Versatile writing and storytelling—from web copy to long-form reports.
• Extensive leadership experience and performance management skills.
• Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills at all levels.
• Ability to travel 0–15% as needed; legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Own content quality: set and manage quality standards for Deloitte Insights content.
• Train and manage editors, acting as second pair of eyes for accuracy and style.
• Champion audience needs and craft compelling storytelling across formats.
• Lead development of editorial talent, fact-checking, and copy optimization.
• Guide collaboration between editors and authors to sharpen arguments.
• Improve editorial workflows and explore AI-assisted efficiency while maintaining quality.
• Promote responsible AI use with humans leading final publication decisions.
• Advise authors on language, style, and storytelling effectiveness.
• Oversee editorial programs, including video content and multi-format publishing.
