Deloitte Insights is seeking an Executive Editor to lead content development, quality, and value. The role partners with the global editor in chief to shape editorial strategy across digital formats, coach editors, and collaborate with researchers, data visualization, and production teams.

The ideal candidate brings deep journalistic experience, strong leadership, and a track record in business thought leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in business journalism editing or thought leadership editing.
• Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, communications or related field.
• Exceptional editing skills with AP style and ability to explain edits to authors.
• Excellent writing and ability to translate complex concepts for executives.
• Strong attention to detail and big‑picture thinking.
• Proven ability to manage senior stakeholders and influence outcomes.
• Experience guiding multimedia content and video post‑production guidance.
• Proficiency with Word, CMS and collaboration tools (e.g., Workfront, MS Teams).

Responsibilities

• Own content quality standards for Deloitte Insights research and insights.
• Train and manage editors to implement quality standards across projects.
• Act as audience champion and storytelling strategist for content projects.
• Lead editorial talent development, fact‑checking and copy optimization.
• Guide editors on collaboration with authors to sharpen arguments and formats.
• Lead continuous process improvements and responsible AI usage in publishing.
• Advise authors on language and storytelling effectiveness.
• Oversee editorial programs including video and multichannel publishing.
