Job summary

Deloitte Insights seeks an Executive Editor to lead content strategy, quality, and editorial operations. You will coach editors, align with researchers, data visualization, and production teams to deliver high-value, digital-first thought leadership for a global audience.

You'll champion audience needs, maintain rigorous standards, and drive storytelling excellence across web, video, and reports, while guiding editors to shape impactful, precise narratives for executives.

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of experience in business journalism editing or thought leadership editing.
Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, communications, or related field.
Exceptional editing skills with AP style and clear editorial reasoning.
Excellent writing and ability to translate complex concepts for executives.
Extensive team leadership and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to travel 0-15% as needed; legally work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Own content quality and set standards for Deloitte Insights’ top-tier research and insights.
Train and manage editors; review content with editors, authors, and subject matter experts.
Lead audience-centric storytelling; ensure clarity, engagement, and value.
Develop editorial talent and oversee fact-checking, data accuracy, and copy optimization.
Collaborate with editors and authors to sharpen arguments and format decisions.
