Job summary

Chugach Tribal Services in Anchorage, AK seeks an Executive Director to serve as chief executive officer, reporting to the Board of Directors. This role guides programs, administration, and the strategic plan to advance socio‑economic outcomes for Chugach Region communities, shareholders and descendants.

The incumbent will lead fundraising, foster stakeholder relations, ensure regulatory compliance, and supervise staff.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field.
Two years’ experience working for a 501c3 non‑profit.
Two years’ experience in a management position
Understanding and experience with grant related funding and reporting requirements
Advanced MS Office Suite skills.

Responsibilities

Promotes and supports the mission, vision, and values of CTS.
Works with the board to craft strategic vision, then aligns resources to deliver on the vision.
Develops and maintains effective working relationships with CTS’ Board of Directors and key stakeholders.
Prepares, reviews, and approves materials for quarterly Board meetings and external presentations.
Schedules and presents at CTS’ quarterly Board meetings and represents CTS at meetings and events.
Oversees administration, programs, and strategic plan of the organization and ensures compliance.
