Chugach Electric Association in Anchorage, AK is seeking a seasoned Government Affairs professional to lead advocacy, policy analysis and strategic engagement with local, state, and federal authorities. You will coordinate with Corporate Communications on public messaging and drive regulatory and legislative initiatives to support member-owned operations.
The role requires building relationships with elected officials, regulators, and industry stakeholders, and overseeing external consultants
Competenze
- Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent professional experience.
- Five (5) years of progressively responsible government relations or public policy experience, preferably in utilities or regulated industries.
- Experience with grant procurement or regulatory filing processes is a plus.
Mansioni
- Lead the Association’s government affairs activities and represent interests before local, state, and federal bodies.
- Develop and execute annual legislative and government affairs plans.
- Advise Leadership on organizational impacts and recommended positions.
