Job summary

Faith-Based Nonprofit Food Bank is seeking an Executive Director who will serve as the chief executive, guiding strategic direction, program excellence, and financial stewardship. You will work closely with the Board to advance the mission, cultivate donor relationships, and lead a dynamic team toward reducing food insecurity in the community.

The ideal candidate has substantial nonprofit leadership experience, a proven fundraising track record, and strong strategic planning abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, or a related field.
• Three or more years of progressively responsible executive or senior leadership experience in nonprofit or related organizations.
• Proven experience in fundraising, donor relations, and financial management.

Position Summary

The Executive Director serves as the chief executive officer of the organization, providing visionary leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight to advance the organization's mission. The Executive Director works closely with the Board of Directors, staff, volunteers, donors, and community partners to ensure the organization fulfills its mission with excellence, integrity, compassion, and faithful stewardship.

Operations and Administration

• Oversee daily operations to ensure organizational effectiveness and excellence.

• Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and regulatory requirements.

Staff Leadership

• Recruit, develop, supervise, and evaluate staff.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, or a related field.
• Three or more years of progressively responsible executive or senior leadership experience in nonprofit, or related organizations.
• Proven experience in fundraising, donor relations, and financial management.
• Strong strategic planning, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and public speaking abilities.
• Ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• High level of integrity, discretion, and servant leadership.

Preferred

• Experience working with a nonprofit Board of Directors.
• Grant writing and grant management experience. Capital campaign experience a plus.
• Experience leading organizational growth and change initiatives.
• Knowledge of nonprofit governance, budgeting, and compliance requirements.
