Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the CEO to establish annual fundraising goals aligned with the organization's strategic plan and operating budget.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive annual Development Plan that supports both current operations and future growth.
  • Create long-term fundraising strategies that include Major Gifts, Annual Giving, Corporate Partnerships, Foundation Giving, Capital Campaigns, Planned Giving, Special Events, and Sponsorship Development.
  • Identify emerging fundraising trends and implement innovative strategies that strengthen organizational sustainability.
  • Serve as a key member of the leadership team, contributing to organizational planning and decision-making.
  • Build, cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of major donors and prospective donors.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive donor stewardship and communication plans that demonstrate the impact of philanthropic investments.
  • Inspire and motivate individuals, businesses, foundations, and community partners to invest in the mission of Community Storehouse.
  • Manage and expand corporate giving and sponsorship opportunities.
  • Identify and pursue new funding opportunities, including grants and collaborative partnerships.
  • Ensure timely donor recognition and meaningful stewardship activities.
  • Serve as an ambassador for Community Storehouse throughout the community.
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with local businesses, civic organizations, schools, churches, foundations, and community leaders.
  • Represent the organization at community events, networking functions, chambers of commerce, Rotary clubs, women's organizations, and other civic groups.
  • Secure speaking engagements and cultivate opportunities to increase visibility and community support.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to promote fundraising campaigns, organizational impact, newsletters, social media, and donor communications.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Development Department, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
  • Directly supervise the Development Manager and provide strategic oversight of fundraising events.
  • Recruit, train, and evaluate development and public relations staff as needed.
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure fundraising initiatives align with organizational priorities and program needs.
  • Develop and manage the annual Development Department budget.
  • Participate as an active member of the Finance Committee.
  • Monitor fundraising performance through data analysis, donor metrics, and key performance indicators.
  • Prepare regular reports for the CEO, Board of Directors, and Development Committee regarding fundraising progress, campaign effectiveness, donor retention, and revenue projections.
  • Ensure accurate donor records and effective utilization of the donor database.

Essential Responsibilities
