Job summary

Mercy University seeks an Executive Director for Academic Success and Accessibility to advance an integrated student-centered model of academic support and accessibility services across Mercy. You will lead strategies for accessibility, tutoring, and learning support to improve retention and degree completion.

You will oversee the Directors of Accessibility and Tutoring, collaborate with academic leadership, enrollment management and student affairs to ensure equitable access to learning

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required; doctorate preferred.
• 5-7 years of leadership in higher education or equivalent.
• Experience overseeing accessibility services, academic support, student success offices.
• Data-informed decision making and project management proficiency.
• Knowledge of ADA, Section 504, and accessibility standards.
• Experience implementing policies to promote equity and persistence.
• Ability to supervise staff and lead cross-functional initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for accessibility, tutoring, and learning support.
• Oversee directors and staff; set annual goals and budgets.
• Lead institution-wide intervention and retention strategies.
• Ensure compliance with accessibility laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with academic affairs, enrollment, and student affairs.
• Lead program reviews and accreditation reporting.
• Promote Universal Design for Learning and inclusive practices.
