Job summary

Livingstone College is seeking an Executive Director of Student Leadership & Engagement in Salisbury, NC. This role leads the Office of Student Leadership & Engagement, directing staff, shaping student activities, and advancing leadership programs aligned with the College’s mission.

The role requires a Master’s degree in a related field and at least three years of higher education experience, with a strong emphasis on collaboration, governance advising, and strategic planning to enhance student

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited institution in higher education administration, student affairs, counseling, leadership, or a related field.
• Three (3) years of progressively responsible professional experience in higher education student engagement, student activities, campus life, leadership programs, or related areas.
• Experience supervising, developing, and evaluating professional staff.
• Experience cultivating collaborative partnerships within Student Affairs and with campus and community stakeholders.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and strategic leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the Office of Student Leadership & Engagement.
• Directly advise the Student Government Association.
• Supervise the Director for Student Activities and the Coordinator for Student Engagement.
• Oversee the Student Engagement Development Center and the Student Life Marketing Committee.
• Coordinate departmental assessment, reporting, and strategic initiatives.
• Develop leadership education experiences including the Leadership Retreat and First-Year Student Leadership Conference.
• Support advisor development and student employee supervision.
• Advise the Fraternity & Sorority Life Council.
• Other duties as assigned.
