Job summary

University of California, Santa Barbara seeks an Executive Director for Student Health and AVP for Integrated Care to guide strategic direction and daily operations of Student Health Services, serving 25,000+ students.

The role includes managing a ~100 FTE staff, a $30M+ budget, and cross-department collaboration to build integrated behavioral health and care navigation models. A two-track appointment is offered (Clinical and Administrative).

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Public Health or Healthcare Administration or related field with at least 10 years in a leadership/administrative role.
• M.D., Ph.D., Psy.D. or clinical training with at least five years of healthcare administration leadership experience.
• Board certification (Physician Track) and CA medical board eligibility are required for specific tracks.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for Student Health Services to support the academic mission and student wellbeing.
• Oversee budget, regulatory compliance, risk management, and organizational performance across SHS.
