Job summary

University of California, Santa Barbara is seeking a Transitional Executive Director for Student Health / AVC for Integrated Care to provide strategic leadership for SHS and related services, overseeing a $30+ million budget and ~100 staff.

The role focuses on integrating behavioral health, leading organizational change, and advancing a coordinated behavioral health system with campus partners. Two-year appointment with extensive leadership oversight.

Qualifications

• Board Certified and CA medical license requirements verified by the Medical Board of California.
• Master’s degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration or related field with 10+ years in leadership/administrative roles OR
• MD/PhD/PsyD or other clinical training with 5+ years in healthcare administration leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for Student Health Services (SHS).
• Oversee budget, ~100 FTE staff, and regulatory compliance for the health system.
• Lead development of strategic plan and integrated behavioral health model across campus.
