Job summary

University of California, Santa Barbara is seeking a Transitional Executive Director for Student Health / Assistant Vice Chancellor for Integrated Care. This 2-year term role provides strategic leadership for SHS, managing daily operations, a large budget, and a multi-disciplinary staff to deliver high-quality, coordinated care for over 25,000 students.

Qualifications

• Board Certified and California medical license required.
• Master's degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration or related field with at least 10 years in a leadership/administrative role.
• MD/PhD or other clinical training with at least five years of healthcare administration leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for Student Health Services.
• Drive development and implementation of a strategic plan and integrated behavioral health model.
• Oversee a budget of $30+ million and ~100 FTE; ensure regulatory compliance and risk management.
• Lead organizational change initiatives and coordinate across campus health services and partner units.

Education

Board Certified medical professional (CA license)
