Job summary

Exelixis is seeking an Executive Director, Program Management to drive enterprise-level programs from Discovery through NDA/BLA filings, collaborating with team leaders and executive stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of project goals.

The role requires deep program leadership experience across DTR, CMC and development, with strong communication and risk management skills to align strategy and execution across multiple functions.

Qualifications

• 15-18 years of experience managing cross-functional biotech/pharma programs, including CMC or development.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing at the Director level.
• Experience with BD or alliance management on a deal is a plus.
• Experience across Discovery to Clinical development and filing support.
• Strong leadership, communication and strategic thinking.

Responsibilities

• Oversees multiple highly complex projects or a portfolio spanning DTR, CMC, Phase 1 to 3 development, NDA/BLA filings/approvals.
• Develops detailed cross-functional integrated project plans, Gantt charts and status reports.
• Manages resources and budget, and secures governance approvals.
• Identifies risks and develops mitigation plans; leads risk management.
• Communicates with executive leadership and governance bodies; writes minutes and action items.
• Leads departmental initiatives to implement processes and templates.
