Job summary

Exelixis in Alameda, CA is seeking a Senior Program Management Director to guide complex drug development programs from discovery through NDA/BLA filings. You will lead cross-functional teams, align strategy with executive leadership, and drive integrated plans and milestones to ensure timely delivery.

The role requires deep experience in oncology/biotech development, strong leadership, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in full drug development and cross-functional leadership.
• Experience managing biotech/pharma programs across DTR, CMC and development.
• Strong written and verbal communication, and leadership at senior levels.
• Ability to manage timelines, resources and budgets with governance.

Responsibilities

• Oversees complex projects across DTR, CMC, and Phase 1–3 development.
• Develops integrated project plans and timelines with cross-functional teams.
• Manages risk and contingency planning; ensures timely delivery.
• Communicates updates to executives and governance bodies; facilitates meetings.
• Leads cross-functional initiatives to improve processes.
